General membership meeting hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association, Chinese Outreach Program. Presentation: new services for Chinese clients (free case consultation services, emergency cash assistance and free individual identification bracelets).

April, 2012
Xiang Zhou, MSW student, presented and led a discussion on racial socialization and identity issues among Asian Americans.

May, 2012
General membership meeting hosted by the Shield Institute. Presentation: Overview of programs and services for adults and children with developmental disabilities and outreach in the Asian community.

June, 2012
Mary Chou, NYU Career Center, along with several Coalition members/mentors presented on job seeking skills and strategies at the Young Professional and Mentorship meeting.

Dr. Yen Chong presented at the general membership meeting on “The challenges of working with Chinese immigrant patients: A psychiatrist’s perspective”.

Jennifer Kwok and Mary Ng, co-chairs of the Young Professional and Mentoring Group, presented and led a discussion on the issues of vicarious trauma and self care among Asian mental health professionals.
